Midnight Sky Releases Hot New Single “White Heat” on Friday, January 31st
DAYTON, OH – January 31, 2025 – Midnight Sky, the chart-topping country/americana group led by Tim Tye, has released their highly anticipated new single, “White Heat” via MTS/Virgin/Universal. Packed with fiery imagery and electrifying energy, the song marks a bold departure from the reflective tone of their earlier hits, showcasing a raw and volatile intensity that’s impossible to ignore.
“White Heat” is a visceral exploration of unbridled passion, captured through evocative lyrics and dynamic instrumentation. Inspired by the phrase, “Nero fiddled while Rome burned down,” which lingered in Tye’s mind for weeks, the song weaves a tale of desire and destruction with striking lyrical imagery. “The song is basically about unbridled lust—no sentimentality whatsoever,” says Tye.
The single highlights the standout talents of Paige Beller’s captivating vocals and Derek Johnson’s masterful guitar work. “I had originally done most of the guitar work, and then Derek came along and unintentionally identified my shortcomings as a guitarist,” Tye admits. The interplay of impassioned vocals and searing guitar riffs, coupled with live recordings of guitars, drums, and bass, creates a dynamic sound that perfectly complements the song’s fiery theme.
